Uncle Ersatz is a humble librarian, living the dream day-by-day here in paradise. I collect digital ephemera (i.e. stuff not meant to keep around for a very long time). However, my ephemeral collections seem to be rather persistant. That is, until I want to find something.
I enjoy showing people how to do the few simple things I know how to do (all three of them). Also, I enjoy other peoples' creativity, and when I find something fun, or funny or helpful, I will post it here to share with you, my Comrades.
As Oscar Wilde said: "Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about."
Enjoy yourself and have a pleasant yesterday.*
Sincerely,
Uncle Ersatz
* why do I say this? While I'm sure that many comedians have used that line, I say it as advice. I have never been able to figure out how to "live in the moment," according to Zen Buddhist wisdom. I realize that I am not alone. Cute parables and ironic poetry just aren't cutting the mustard here. So, until I can master my Zen, I realize that I live in yesterday and tomorrow. Mostly yesterday (as in, dwelling upon things I didn't do, things I didn't do well, things I should have done, etc., etc.). So, I will try to live today with as few regrets for tomorrow as I can. Tomorrow, that will leave me with a more pleasant yesterday. (Did that bring a tear to your eye?)
